8. Is it “better” to be an affiliate for expensive products?

You might think so. After all, if a company offers a 30% commission on a $300 product, that’s a $90 commission... ...“WOW!”, right?

Wrong.

An expensive product is far harder to sell, especially on the Web. The “close rate” (i.e., making the sale) is lower.

You’ll sell 20 times more product at $30 than at $300, if the product is basically the same.
Despite this obvious logic, the average person just can’t resist that shot at a fast-fat $90 commission.

So zillions of affiliates end up competing for that already-hard-to-get sale - this makes it even harder, almost impossible actually, to get the sale.

Worst of all?...

The high-priced product is vulnerable to undercutting by competition.
If your company prices your product too high (for what it delivers), someone else will come along with a better product at a cheaper price.
And when that happens, word gets out fast on the Web. Your company is toast. And so are you.

Solution?...

Remember the power of the 5 pillars...?

... a growing line of outstanding products - the 5 Pillar Program is not a one-product deal.
As we build a large, multi-product company, you build a large, multi-product business.

... the high First-Purchase Sales Commission - even though SiteSell Products are priced low,
the high percentage commission and the high Conversion Rate earns you more money from Day 1 anyway!

... the scaled Repeat-Purchase Sales Commission - our goal is the same as your goal.
By building a 10-times bigger group of raving fans, you build a strong base for ongoing commissions from all future products...

... the high potential of the scaled Commission on Total Team Earnings - again, by starting with a low priced product that OVERdeliver,
you will also build a far larger Team of affiliates...

... protection for you via the strictly limited number of affiliates. While you build your business, you also help build ours.

This pillar anchors the other four, and remember...

The 5 Pillars are all set in ... solid rock.

That solid rock is the promise, in writing in the Affiliate Agreement, that SiteSell.com "...will never unfairly terminate or modify the Agreement."
