11.Isn’t the Team aspect very much like MLM?
Actually, it’s far closer to the practices of everyday sales-oriented companies. Let’s talk about MLM (also called “network marketing”), and then compare... MLM pays you for sales generated by a rep who was “brought in” by a rep, who was “brought in” by a rep, who was “brought in” by a rep, who was brought in by... ... YOU! Done properly, it’s a legal way to distribute products. Otherwise, it’s a pyramid that is supposed to make you as rich as... ... a pharaoh! Let’s stick to the legal MLM companies... One common problem... Many reps, even with good companies, promote the recruiting scheme more than the products that they sell. Think about it for a second. When was the last time an MLM agent tried to sell you only the product? If the product is good value for the money, and if the product is a “natural” for word-of-mouth marketing, that’s a great start. After all, the multi-level aspect is really just the channel used to distribute products,
right? No one buys a shirt at Bloomingdales because it’s a retail store.
And no one
purchases MYSS 2002! because I chose to sell it via the Internet.
But seriously, if you’re interested in network
marketing, focus on product. Once you have great products, site-selling and
traffic-building become so much easier. Now let’s do a comparison with non-MLM companies... They have sales directors,
who manage groups of sales reps. how well their team of reps performs. The focus stays on customers, product quality, and sales. Just like us.
